Butterfly Die Card

Yikes - it's been a whole month since I last blogged. It's this silly business of having to work that gets in the way you know?! Still if I didn't work there wouldn't be any money to buy craft supplies so I suppose it does have it's advantages!

Meanwhile I have been spending my hard earned cash on a few crafting magazines - ones with freebies - take a look


Todays card is a very simple one using just one of the dies. I took a piece of card stock and die cut the detailed butterfly in the top center part. I then took a card blank, added some background paper and then attached the piece of card stock.
I made sure the die cut butterfly had all the tiny pieces removed and re-attached the butterfly to the centre of the card stock but just in the middle. I then added a sentiment.


The wings of the butterfly stand proud on the card revealing the background below.

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. I have made a card with this set as it lends it's self perfectly to the the new Boho Blue In Colour. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
